Role & responsibilities
Lead the Engineering & Maintenance department.
Ensure maximum uptime of all tyre manufacturing machinery.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
Manage plant utilities (compressors, boilers, chillers, DG sets, HVAC, etc.).
Lead machine installation, commissioning, and projects.
Monitor maintenance KPIs and improve equipment reliability (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
Drive automation, energy-saving, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance resources.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Safety teams.
Lead and develop engineers, maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians.
Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and external service providers.
Support continuous improvement, TPM,



and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile
1015+ years of experience in engineering and maintenance within the tyre, rubber, or process manufacturing industry.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading the engineering function in a manufacturing plant.
Solid knowledge of tyre manufacturing equipment, utilities, automation, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reliability engineering.
Proven experience in CapEx projects, plant expansion, and equipment commissioning.
Hands-on knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
Solid leadership, budgeting, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Excellent understanding of industrial safety, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations.
