Job Title: Assistant Manager Press Shop
Department: Production – Press Shop
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary

Responsible for planning and supervising press shop operations to achieve production targets while ensuring quality, safety, machine efficiency, and optimal utilization of manpower and resources.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and supervise daily press shop production activities.
Ensure achievement of production, quality, and delivery targets.
Monitor press machine performance and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Tool Room and Maintenance for tool and machine availability.
Ensure proper die setting, changeovers, and process adherence.
Optimize manpower and machine utilization.
Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, TPM,



and Lean Manufacturing practices.
Prepare production reports and monitor KPIs (OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime).
Train and guide operators and supervisors to improve performance.

Qualifications
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
6–10 years of experience in sheet metal press shop operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
