Role & responsibilities
Prepare detailed engineering and design deliverables for transmission line projects up to 400 kV.
Perform transmission line design, tower spotting, and route profile analysis.
Develop and review engineering drawings, layouts, design calculations, reports, and technical documents.
Carry out transmission tower analysis and design using PLS-TOWER.
Prepare and review transmission line profiles using PLS-CADD.
Perform tower spotting and optimize tower schedules based on terrain, electrical clearances, and project requirements.
Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, survey, and drafting teams for timely project execution.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant IS, IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and client specifications.
Participate in design optimization, technical reviews, and value engineering activities.
Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
Provide technical support during project execution and address client comments where required.

Required Qualifications




Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience in transmission line engineering and design.
Experience in designing transmission lines up to 400 kV is mandatory.

Required Technical Skills
Robust knowledge of transmission line engineering and structural design.
Hands-on experience with PLS-TOWER for transmission tower analysis and design.
Hands-on experience with PLS-CADD for route profile preparation and transmission line design.
Experience in tower spotting for transmission line projects.
Knowledge of loading criteria, conductor clearances, sag-tension concepts, and transmission line design standards.
Familiarity with IS, IEC, and utility/client design standards.
Ability to review fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and structural calculations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of STAAD.Pro or similar structural analysis software will be an added advantage.
