Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator with strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, along with exposure to both AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role is critical in managing enterprise-scale database settings, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, security, and seamless cloud transition initiatives. The ideal candidate will support mission-critical systems and lead database modernization and migration strategies.

Oracle Database Administration
Administer Oracle Database 19c, 21c (latest supported enterprise versions)
Manage Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB)
Handle patching, upgrades, cloning
Configure RAC, Data Guard, ASM
Backup & recovery using RMAN
User and security management
Partitioning, indexing, archiving
Implement and manage read-only standby databases using Oracle Data Guard for reporting workloads

PostgreSQL Database Administration
Install and manage PostgreSQL in production
Performance tuning using EXPLAIN ANALYZE
Resolve locks, deadlocks, replication lag
Manage backups using pgBackRest
Implement replication and failover setups




Design and manage read replica architecture for reporting and load distribution
Configure and optimize read replicas to reduce load on primary databases
Monitor replication lag and ensure data consistency across replicas

Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS & OCI)
Manage AWS RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL)
Support AWS to OCI migration initiatives
Work with OCI DB services and Autonomous DB
Ensure performance and security in cloud environments

Performance & Monitoring
Monitor using AWR, CloudWatch, OCI Monitoring
Perform root cause analysis
Implement proactive alerting

Security & Compliance
Implement encryption and access controls
Ensure PCI-DSS and enterprise compliance
Manage auditing and vulnerability assessments

Required Skills
10+ years DBA experience
Expert in Oracle & PostgreSQL
Robust HA/DR knowledge
Performance tuning expertise
AWS RDS experience
OCI exposure

Certifications
AWS Solutions Architect Associate (Mandatory)
OCI Certification (Preferred)
