Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
Create productive toolpaths to improve machining accuracy, productivity, and surface finish.
Analyze engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T; requirements to develop manufacturing processes.
Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, machining parameters, and workholding fixtures.
Optimize cycle times and machining strategies to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining quality.
Perform toolpath simulation and collision detection to ensure protected and error-free machining.
Develop, customize, and troubleshoot post-processors for different CNC machine controllers.
Support recent product introduction (NPI) by developing manufacturing processes and CNC programs.
Troubleshoot machining issues related to programming, tooling, machine setup, and process capability.
Collaborate with design, production, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve product manufacturability.
Standardize CNC programming practices, templates, and machining processes.




Conduct process validation, first article inspections, and continuous process improvements.
Maintain CNC program documentation, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process instructions.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Provide technical support and training to CNC programmers, machine operators, and manufacturing engineers.
Evaluate and implement advanced Mastercam features, automation tools, and CAD/CAM technologies.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and customer specifications.
Monitor machining performance and recommend improvements to increase tool life and reduce scrap.
Support production by resolving programming and machining issues in a timely manner.
Participate in design reviews and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.
Stay current with the latest Mastercam releases, CNC technologies, cutting tools, and manufacturing best practices.
