A hands-on Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced device identification capabilities for Cuctomers fraud detection platform. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems that process device and browser signals to accurately identify devices in environments where traditional identifiers such as cookies are no longer reliable.
The ideal candidate is a senior technical leader with robust problem-solving skills, a builder mindset, and the ability to design and develop complex systems from the ground up in a rapid-paced, highly technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and enhance device identification capabilities for fraud detection systems.
Develop scalable backend services to collect, process, and analyze device and browser signals.
Build and optimize device identity and matching logic to accurately recognize devices across sessions.
Design cloud-native solutions and services leveraging Azure.
Solve complex device recognition and identity resolution challenges.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in Java-based backend development and distributed systems.
Strong expertise in designing and building scalable, cloud-native applications on Azure.
Experience developing systems from scratch and solving complex technical problems.
Deep understanding of device signals, browser technologies, and device identification concepts.
Knowledge of modern web and mobile ecosystems, including the limitations of cookie-based identification.
Solid engineering fundamentals, system design, and architecture skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in fraud detection, risk management, digital identity, or cybersecurity platforms.
Exposure to large-scale data processing, event-driven architectures, and real-time systems
