As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Backend, you will work on distributed systems, and building next generation products. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role is for a technical lead who will help influence the technical north star for all of the Supply Chain domain projects within Rocket Growth, as well as with internal and external partners. This role is highly technical, but also requires deep business acumen and active participation and partnership with Product to shape what we build. If you thrive working alongside Product to help define what we build, are deeply technical to understand the nuances of Supply Chain and the plethora of systems that typically are part of it - then this is the perfect role for you.

What You Will Do
Drive the highest quality of architecture and design of the system.
Draw a roadmaps and vision for the scalable and robust growth of the product
Collaborate with other engineering teams to make the platform open and extensible to unlock innumerable opportunities for innovations.
Align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission critical projects.
Decompose complex problems into easy, straightforward solutions.




Leverage knowledge of internal and industry best practices in design.
Deep-dive and handle critical system issues.

Basic Qualification
Bachelor's degree and/or masters degree in computer science or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years of experience working on software design and development in Java, Python.
Proven track record of designing and building large-scale distributed systems in the Supply Chain space.
Large system architecture design and development experience.
Experience with cloud computing with AWS.
Experience of developing container-based testing setting.
Experience with Java / IntelliJ / Spring workplace.

Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of Supply Chain Domain
Deep expertise in AWS ecosystem (compute, storage, distributed services)
Mentor & junior engineers and influence team architecture
Excellent Communication Skills
