Role & responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement
Identify, evaluate, and develop recent suppliers for cosmetic and pharmaceutical raw materials, excipients, actives, and primary/secondary packaging materials.
Manage RFQs, quotations comparison, and procurement negotiations to achieve optimal cost and quality.
Ensure procurement in compliance with GMP, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
Coordinate with R&D;, QA, QC, and Production teams for material specifications and approvals.

Vendor Management
Maintain and update vendor database with technical, financial, and quality details.
Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery timelines, quality consistency, and pricing.
Develop alternate vendors to ensure supply continuity and cost optimization.

Inventory & Procurement Planning
Plan procurement schedules in alignment with production and R&D; requirements.
Track and maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Coordinate with stores and accounts for GRN, invoice, and payment processes.

Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain purchase orders, vendor qualification records,



and procurement reports.
Ensure adherence to Regulatory, ISO, and Schedule M requirements where applicable.
Support audits by providing procurement documentation and vendor records.

Market & Cost Analysis
Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and availability.
Analyze purchase data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc
Experience: 46 years in procurement of cosmetic or pharmaceutical raw materials and packaging materials.
Positive knowledge of cosmetic actives, excipients, and packaging components (bottles, jars, tubes, cartons, labels, etc.).
Solid negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Tally), and vendor correspondence.
