Roles and Responsibilities:
Robust foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering for heavy fabrication and welded structures. Knowledge of American Welding Standards.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, particularly Creo, for 3D modeling, detailing, and assembly design.
Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication methods, GD&T;, and relevant industrial standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with shop floor and leadership stakeholders.
Prepare complete engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, welding symbols, BOM, and manufacturing notes.
Modify existing models and drawings based on customer revisions.
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using Creo software.
Collaborate with cross-functional overseas teams to ensure design meets functional requirements and manufacturing constraints.
Conduct design reviews, analyze designs for manufacturability, and optimize designs for cost reduction.
Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for production purposes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process.
