Key Responsibilities:
System Administration
• Install, configure, and upgrade SAP HANA database systems.
• Perform system provisioning, landscape setup, and patching.
• Manage SAP HANA instances, tenants (MDC), and system replication.
Monitoring & Performance Tuning
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization (CPU, memory, disk).
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and data models in collaboration with development teams.
Backup, Recovery & High Availability
• Configure and manage backup strategies (full, incremental, log backups).
• Perform database recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., system replication, failover setup).
Security & Compliance
• Manage users, roles, and authorization concepts.
• Ensure database security, encryption, and compliance policies.
• Conduct audits and maintain security logs.
System Maintenance & Support
• Perform regular health checks and preventive maintenance.




• Troubleshoot issues related to HANA database and connected SAP applications.
• Coordinate with Basis, infrastructure, and application teams.
Cloud & Migration (if applicable)
• Support SAP HANA deployments on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Perform system migration (e.g., SAP ECC to S/4HANA).
• Use tools like DMO, SUM, SWPM for migrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Robust experience with SAP HANA database administration.
• Knowledge of:HANA Studio / HANA Cockpit
• SAP Basis concepts
• Basic Linux/Unix OS administration
• SQL and SQLScript knowledge
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
• Data modeling basics
• Knowledge of hybrid settings and cloud migrations
Experience with:
• SAP system landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD)
• Backup tools and recovery procedures
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery setups
