Role & responsibilities
Lead end-to-end engine component design and development, ensuring alignment with localisation strategy, performance targets, and cost objectives.
Drive application engineering activities, ensuring engine systems meet customer requirements.
Oversee 3D CAD modelling and 2D detailing, ensuring compliance with DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFS (Design for Serviceability) standards.
Evaluate and establish supplier feasibility, ensuring manufacturability, process capability, quality standards, and optimum cost competitiveness.
Provide technical inputs for Statement of Requirements (SOR) and support RFQ preparation, ensuring clarity on specifications, scope, and deliverables.
Define and manage DVP (Design Verification Plan) and CIR (Concern Investigation Report) processes to ensure robust validation and issue resolution.
Review and evaluate proprietary technical design proposals from suppliers/partners and align them with customer expectations, project constraints, and business objectives.
Lead cross-functional coordination (Design, CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Suppliers) to ensure seamless project execution and localisation targets.
Manage product data and engineering changes in SAP and PLM systems, ensuring configuration control, traceability, and documentation accuracy.
Drive R&D; project management activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and cost targets.
