Role & responsibilities
Product Costing & Standard Costing:
Maintain and update standard cost in SAP S/4HANA.
Analyze cost changes and their impact on product profitability.
Work closely with production and engineering teams for cost estimation and control.
Inventory & Material Ledger Management:
Perform monthly inventory valuations using Material Ledger in SAP S/4HANA.
Reconcile physical and system inventory and ensure proper costing of goods issued/received.
Ensure accurate BOM and routing data for costing purposes.
Cost Control & Variance Analysis:
Monitor production costs and perform detailed variance analysis (standard vs actual).
Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with departments to implement them.
Track and report cost drivers and trends using SAP reporting tools.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Support preparation of cost-related components of the annual budget.




Use SAP tools to forecast cost trends and support business planning.
Provide cost simulations for recent or modified products.
Audit & Compliance:
Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
Ensure adherence to ICWA/CMA standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cost Accountant with expertise in SAP S/4HANA to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing company or any process manufacturing industry. This role involves handling product costing, cost control, variance analysis, and inventory valuation using SAP S/4HANA. Solid analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
