Graduate degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, environmental engineering or a related field

Experience with AI and machine learning; Relevant publication in reputed journals

Experience with weather forecasting; Proficient in Python; Solid understanding of forecast data formats: GRIB2, NetCDF, zarr; Solid communication skills

Ensure that weather related products are scientifically accurate, operationally reliable and fit for downstream consumption; Work with Data Scientists on building, analyzing forecasting models, reviewing model outputs,



and defining quality standards that govern what gets shipped to users; Stay up to date with recent developments of weather forecasting models both physical and AI-based; Mentor team members with domain knowledge on weather/climate; Generate reports of model analysis; Work on the development and application of technical workflows for analyzing weather data; Leverage tools and analysis methods to identify and address challenges in weather forecasting datasets
