Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated QA Test Engineer with a strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles, hands-on experience with QA tools, and proficiency in UFT automation for desktop applications. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of SQL for database validation and Unix commands for environment and log analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT for desktop applications.

Execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.

Perform database validation using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Utilize Unix commands for log analysis, file handling, and workplace checks.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies.

Document test results, report defects, and track them using test management tools (e. g. , Client ALM, Octane Jira).

Participate in test planning,



estimation, and status reporting.

Ensure compliance with QA best practices and organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

Hands-on experience with QA tools (e. g. , Client ALM/QC, Jira).

Robust proficiency in UFT/QTP automation for desktop applications.

Working knowledge of VBScript for UFT scripting.

Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.

Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands for log analysis and workplace checks.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to data-driven and keyword-driven frameworks in UFT.

Experience with CI/CD tools (e. g. , Jenkins) for automation execution.

Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
