Role & responsibilities
Conduct mechanical tests such as:
Tensile test, Hardness test (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers), Impact test (Charpy/Izod), Bend, Flattening, and Compression tests
Metallography Testing
Operate and maintain Universal Testing Machines (UTM), Impact testers, Hardness testers, etc.
Ensure proper sample preparation according to test standards.
Record, analyze, and interpret test results with high accuracy.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
Follow relevant standards like ASTM, IS, ISO, BIS, etc.
Maintain proper documentation of test procedures, results, calibration, and equipment logs.
Assist in internal audits, inter-lab comparisons (ILC/PT), and method development.
Comply with NABL/ISO 17025 quality management system requirements.
Maintain a clean and secure working setting in the testing area.
Coordinate with customers/clients when necessary for sample clarification or result interpretation.
