Role Overview

We are looking for a Assistant Manager Indirect Tax with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience or Semi-qualified with 7 -8 years of in GST, Customs, and Tax Technologies. The candidate will advise clients on complex indirect tax issues, drive compliance solutions, and manage a team.

Key Responsibilities
Provide GST and Customs advisory, including input tax credit, compliance, and structuring.
Support in Customs and GST litigation matters and represent clients before tax authorities.
Actively take part in implementation of tax technology solutions for automation on tax function
Project lead on due diligences and tax optimization for M&A; and restructuring projects.
Mentor junior staff and collaborate with partners on client deliverables.
Work with other teams in the firm in the home office and across locations to build superior client engagement and excellence in delivering solutions to clients





Desired Profile
CA with 3–5 years or Semi-qualified with 6 -8 years of experience in Indirect taxes, ideally with consulting or relevant Corporate experience in the Indirect tax function.
Curiosity to learn and understand interplay of the business, the requirement for regulation and the intent behind the law
Strong knowledge of GST, Customs, and exposure to tax tech solutions and flair for continuous learning/upskilling.
Maintain client relationships with a explicit sense of purpose and build solid connects with the client teams and understand their business requirements clearly and have the ability to put these to work
Demonstrate strength of character, passion for problem solving, solid written and oral communication skills.
