Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in Sheet Metal and Press Tool Design. The candidate should have hands-on experience in designing various types of dies and developing process layouts from component drawings.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Draw Dies, Trim Dies, Form Dies, and Cam Dies independently.
Prepare process layouts/strip layouts based on part geometry and manufacturing requirements.
Analyze component drawings and define tooling concepts for sheet metal parts.
Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for tools and dies.
Coordinate with manufacturing and tryout teams to ensure successful tool development.
Support tool modifications and continuous improvements for production requirements.
Ensure designs comply with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Required Skills




Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Sheet Metal / Press Tool Design.
Solid knowledge of draw dies, trim dies, form dies, and cam dies.
Ability to independently develop process layouts from part data.
Proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks (mandatory).
Valuable understanding of sheet metal forming processes, GD&T;, and manufacturing practices.
Experience in automotive press tool design will be an added advantage.
Robust problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualification
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Preference: Sheet Metal Tool Design, Press Tool Design, Draw Die Design, Form Die Design, Trim Die Design, Cam Die Design, CATIA, SolidWorks, Process Layout, Automotive Tooling.
