Application Development
Design, develop, and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and related mainframe technologies.
Develop and optimize batch and online processing systems.
Review and analyze functional requirements to create technical specifications.
Maintenance & Production Support
Troubleshoot production incidents, investigate abends, and provide timely resolutions.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Monitor batch job performance and ensure SLA compliance.
System Analysis & Technical Design
Work closely with business analysts to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Perform impact analysis for system changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
Database & Data Management
Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for DB2 databases.
Work with VSAM datasets, file handling, and data transformation tasks.
