Job Title: Deputy Manager Taxation

Key Responsibilities

Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance
Oversee end-to-end Direct and Indirect Tax compliance, ensuring adherence to all applicable statutory regulations.
Review and ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory tax compliances.
Monitor timely deduction, deposit, and reconciliation of TDS and GST liabilities.
Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of all GST, TDS, and tax-related transactions in the books of accounts.

Assessment & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and review responses to GST, TDS, and Income Tax notices in coordination with consultants and regulatory authorities.
Liaise with tax authorities during assessments, audits, and departmental inquiries.
Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and recommend necessary process improvements.

Financial Control & Reconciliations
Lead customer and vendor reconciliations in coordination with the Sales and Purchase teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.




Review Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliations and ensure compliance with GST provisions.
Monitor tax reconciliations with financial statements and statutory records.

Audit & Reporting
Coordinate and support statutory, tax, internal, and GST audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit observations.
Prepare tax-related MIS reports, compliance dashboards, and management reports.
Identify tax risks and recommend corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.

Process Improvement & Team Management
Develop and implement best practices to improve taxation processes, compliance efficiency, and internal controls.
Guide and mentor junior team members on taxation and compliance matters.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounts, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure seamless tax compliance across business operations.
