The Role

The Principal Designer will apply extensive and comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to the organization s products and services.

This role will be based out of our Chennai office.

This chance is ideal for an individual who has previous experience within Offshore Piping Engineering and wants to be part of a agile project team working as part of an international service line.

Expected:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Piping Engineering in Oil Gas project execution (Essential).
Working experience major industrial international codes (ASME, API NORSOK)

The key objectives for this role are:

Completes technical design work to a high standard in line with Project requirements in following domain:
Experienced in Offshore Green field projects (Topsides for Well head, LQ, Riser Platform Process platforms)



as Lead or Area Lead
Experienced in Brown field modifications, Tie-ins / Hook-ups and prepare Site survey input.
Review piping studies for defining elevation configuration for Fixed platforms interface definition / Hook ups.
Experienced in FPSO/FLNG topsides modules.
Take ownership of module / deck area, work independently and report to lead periodically.
Prepare 2D layout study sketches and guide junior designers.
Experience in handling a team of members.
