We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager - Government Business & Sales to drive growth in the government and public sector market
The ideal candidate should be a proactive sales hunter with proven expertise in managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and opportunity identification to deal closure and account management
The role focuses on acquiring current business through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and developing strong relationships with government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), semi-government organizations, universities, and educational institutions
The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, participating in tender processes, managing bids, and ensuring successful project closures

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and acquire current clients within government and semi-government sectors.
Drive end-to-end sales through the GeM portal, from prospecting to contract closure.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.




Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers.
Manage techno-commercial bids, proposals, and tender documentation.
Stay updated on government procurement policies, market trends, and competitor activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high customer satisfaction. 8. Monitor sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and maintain accurate performance reports.

Candidate Requirements:
Hands-on experience and robust understanding of the GeM portal and government procurement processes.
Proven experience in government sales, tendering, and bid management.
Excellent documentation, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently in an individual contributor role
