Role & responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of suppliers for metal inserts, screws, compression limiters, and similar bought-out parts.
Coordinate purchase order follow-up with suppliers in alignment with planning and procurement requirements.
Conduct incoming and in-process inspections at supplier sites and/or internal receiving points.
Verify product conformity against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Drive corrective and preventive actions for rejected or non-conforming material.
Perform supplier audits, supplier visits, and process follow-ups to monitor capability and compliance.
Support supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
Maintain records of inspections, supplier performance, NCRs, and corrective actions.
Work closely with procurement, engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
Travel within India to supplier locations as needed for inspections, escalations, and development work.

Monitoring of all statutory compliance related to Service Tax or vendor TDS/GST and other related law.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
38 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.
Valuable understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, gauges, and inspection methods.
Experience in Molding industry / Tooling / Automotive industry.
Experience with mechanical components, fasteners, or metal inserts.
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, specifications and use basic inspection tools.
Robust communication, negotiation, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
Willingness to travel frequently within India.
