Job Description: A Computer Operator in a steel structure trading company is responsible for managing data, monitoring computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily trading, inventory, and logistics activities. They typically handle data entry, generate MIS reports, and manage documentation related to steel products, invoices, and shipping. Key Responsibilities

- Data Entry & Management: Accurately enter daily stock, sales, and purchase data for steel materials (sheets, pipes, beams, etc.) into the company’s ERP or Excel system.
- MIS Report Generation: Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory levels, and pending orders for management.
- Inventory & Logistics Control: Track inward and outward movement of steel products, manage warehouse records, and coordinate with dispatch teams.
- System Operations & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, perform routine backups, and resolve minor hardware/software issues.
- Document Processing: Prepare and process customer invoices, purchase orders, shipping documents, and payment records.
- Technical Support: Provide basic IT support and troubleshoot computer problems for staff members.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education:



High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum requirement; a Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in computer operation, preferably in trading, steel, or construction industries.
- Software Proficiency: Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (spreadsheets) and Word, and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot peripheral devices (printers, scanners) and manage data backups.
- Core Competencies:
- Accuracy & Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry to prevent financial or inventory losses.
- Typing Speed: Good typing speed (English and local language).
- Communication: Ability to work with sales, logistics, and management teams.

Physical Demands
- The role often involves sitting for extended periods (e.g., 8 hours) while working on a computer terminal.
- May require lifting or managing office equipment occasionally.
