Role Description The Global Business Development Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Kotagiri. This role focuses on identifying and developing international markets for HortBio's coco coir-based growing media, including grow cubes, grow bags, and hydroponic substrates. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing relationships with distributors and key accounts, conducting market research, preparing business plans, and driving international sales growth. The role also involves negotiating contracts, coordinating with production and logistics teams to meet client requirements, and representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.



The Global Business Development Manager will work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute global expansion strategies and achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong International Business Development and International Sales skills, with experience in identifying and growing markets across multiple regions.
- Candidates should possess solid Business Planning skills, including market analysis, forecasting, and development of go-to-market strategies.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and negotiate effectively with international stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Account Management experience, including maintaining long-term client relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Relevant experience in horticulture, agriculture, hydroponics, or related manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in English and comfort working with diverse cultures and time zones is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
