Role Description The Shopify Developer will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining FarmDidi's Shopify-based e-commerce storefront to deliver a seamless customer experience. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing Shopify themes, integrating apps and third-party tools, managing product listings and collections, and ensuring responsive design across devices. The role involves collaborating with marketing and operations teams to implement promotional campaigns, improve conversion rates, and enhance site performance and usability.
The developer will also monitor site analytics, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement best practices in security, speed, and SEO. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Shopify development, including Liquid templating, theme customization, and Shopify Admin configuration.
- Front-end web development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
- Experience integrating Shopify apps, payment gateways, shipping solutions, and third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, including SEO, performance optimization, and user experience design.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and marketing requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic debugging and testing workflows.
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a startup environment focused on social impact.
- Prior experience with D2C or consumer brand e-commerce platforms is an advantage; familiarity with rural or social enterprise contexts is a plus.
