Systems Engineer (Intern) - Edge Runtime

Location: Bangalore, HSR Layout

Work mode: On-site, work from office all working days

Duration: 6 - 12 months (full time internship; possibility of a full-time offer based on performance) We prefer engineers who can continue until the end of college and convert into full-time opportunities.

Reports to: Systems Engineering Lead (with day-to-day guidance from systems engineers)

Role Overview

We are hiring Systems Engineering Interns to work alongside our systems team to build high perf message brokers, data pipelines and analytics engines. You will take on scoped tasks in Rust to instrument and optimize pipelines for low CPU, low memory usage and robustness.

We are looking for anyone who enjoys systems-level programming,



has a strong foundation in Rust and Linux OS fundamentals, loves measuring and optimizing performance.

What You'll Do

- Write and test small, scoped modules of the message broker, data pipeline and analytics engine in Rust
- Profile CPU and memory on constrained hardware and learn to measure before changing.
- Build benchmarks, fuzzers, fixtures, or tools that help the systems team move faster.

Must-Have Skills
- Working knowledge of Rust
- Comfort on the Linux command line and with basic OS concepts (processes, memory, files)
- Available for a full-time, on-site internship
- Hands-on hobby (non academic) projects in Rust
- Exposure to async I/O, networking, syscalls, or Linux internals
- Basic scripting (Python, shell) for tooling and test
