About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager specializing in Data Platform Modernization to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This pivotal role involves leading large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless migration to modern cloud-based platforms, and delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions. The successful candidate will coordinate across multiple technical teams and business units, driving strategic modernization programs that support critical functions such as regulatory reporting, finance, risk management, and enterprise analytics.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of technical project management expertise, agile delivery experience, cloud technologies proficiency, and a deep understanding of data engineering and banking domain requirements. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to manage complex dependencies, and a focus on governance, quality, and operational excellence to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in technical or program management roles, with a proven track record of managing enterprise-scale technology transformation projects. Prior experience in delivering data platform modernization initiatives, especially within regulated industries such as banking or financial services, is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, cloud platforms, and data technologies is essential. Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe are advantageous, along with experience in leading cross-functional global teams.

Technical skills should include expertise in project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps,



as well as familiarity with data engineering, warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and streaming data platforms. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with up-to-date data architectures and DevOps practices, is required. Soft skills including leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving are equally important.

Responsibilities

Program & Project Management: Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data modernization programs, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and milestones. Develop detailed plans and ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget while maintaining high quality standards. Manage multiple initiatives across distributed teams, tracking progress and adjusting plans as needed.

Agile Delivery Management: Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and PI planning. Drive continuous process improvements, monitor sprint velocity, and ensure timely delivery of features and solutions.

Data Platform Modernization: Oversee initiatives involving legacy platform transformation, migration to cloud-based data platforms, and implementation of scalable data architectures. Coordinate data engineering, integration, and analytics solutions to meet business needs.

Technical Coordination: Collaborate with data engineering, warehousing, cloud infrastructure, architecture, and application development teams. Manage dependencies and ensure alignment with overall modernization strategies.

Data Engineering & Analytics: Support teams implementing data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms. Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and compliant with governance standards.

Cloud Platform Delivery: Leverage cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP to facilitate modernization projects. Support implementation of cloud-native storage, security, and processing services.

Technology Oversight:



Maintain a strong understanding of modern data technologies such as Kafka, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, microservices, and containerization. Ensure technical decisions align with business objectives.

Stakeholder Management: Partner with leadership, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to facilitate planning, decision-making, and communication. Build strong relationships to ensure project alignment.

Risk & Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues. Maintain RAID logs and escalate blockers proactively to ensure smooth project execution.

Governance & Compliance: Establish governance frameworks, ensure adherence to organizational policies, and support regulatory and audit requirements. Maintain documentation and reporting artifacts.

Financial & Budget Management: Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial tracking. Provide regular updates on financial health and resource utilization.

Reporting & Executive Communication: Prepare dashboards, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership. Communicate project milestones, risks, and achievements transparently.

Quality & Delivery Excellence: Promote best practices in project management, drive quality assurance activities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
