Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Professor of Psychiatry to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, provide high-quality patient care, and actively participate in research and academic activities. The candidate should possess the qualifications and experience prescribed by the National Medical Commission.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures, clinical demonstrations, and bedside teaching for MBBS and postgraduate students.
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate residents, interns, and undergraduate students.
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients.
- Conduct outpatient (OPD), inpatient (IPD), emergency, and consultation-liaison psychiatric services.
- Participate in departmental academic activities, including seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, and CMEs.
- Guide and supervise research projects, dissertations, and publications.




- Contribute to curriculum development and implementation.
- Participate in departmental administration, quality assurance initiatives, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical, academic, and research records.
- Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by the Head of the Department or institution.

Qualification

- MD in Psychiatry from a recognized medical institution.
- Registration with the State Medical Council/NMC.
- Must fulfill the eligibility criteria for Associate Professor as per NMC regulations.

Experience

- Required teaching experience as per current NMC norms for the post of Associate Professor.
- Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Proven experience in patient care, research, and academic administration is preferred.
