About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a specialized focus on healthcare data to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets, including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data, primarily within the US healthcare landscape. Your expertise in MS SQL, healthcare data modeling, and integration will be vital in building scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure that supports our data-driven initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data pipelines, implement monitoring systems for automated health checks, and contribute to the development of our continuous integration (CI) pipelines. Additionally, you will play a key role in training and guiding team members, ensuring best practices are followed, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics, including benefits, claims, and eligibility data, is required. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets is essential, along with familiarity with Snowflake, MySQL,
and modern data warehousing concepts. Experience in creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills are critical, complemented by excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for leveraging data to improve healthcare outcomes and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
In this role, your core responsibilities will include healthcare data analysis and reporting, involving the extraction, validation, and analysis of large datasets. You will write and optimize complex SQL queries to support accurate reporting for business and regulatory compliance. Supporting healthcare data modeling and integration efforts will be a key focus, working with platforms such as Snowflake and MySQL to develop data marts, analytics layers, and ensure seamless data ingestion from source systems like claims processing and provider systems. You will collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable data pipelines and support analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
You will also create process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals to document healthcare data workflows, utilizing tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io. Documenting healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies will be essential to standardize metrics across various healthcare programs. Additionally,
you will partner with stakeholders from Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs, translate complex healthcare data into clear insights, and present findings effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.
