The company delivers technology solutions for government and enterprise sectors, addressing real-world challenges in citizen services, public safety, education, healthcare, transportation and governance.Cloudstrats supports large-scale digital transformation through projects such as command-and-control centres, e-governance platforms, grievance redressal systems, data hubs, fraud detection solutions and healthcare systems, contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.Role Overview:Cloudstrats is seeking an experienced Indian Navy veteran to join as a Domain Analyst. The role will provide subject-matter expertise on naval maintenance, engineering, stores, materiel management and operational workflows.The Domain Analyst will work closely with naval stakeholders, product teams, analysts and engineering teams to understand existing processes and translate them into clear functional and operational requirements. The individual will ensure that proposed digital solutions accurately reflect established naval procedures, terminology, standards and shipboard or shore-based working practices.The role also includes reviewing solution designs, supporting testing and validation, verifying migrated data, assisting with user training and providing domain guidance throughout project implementation and rollout.Key ResponsibilitiesExplain planned, preventive and corrective maintenance processes followed onboard ships and at shore establishments.Provide domain guidance on defect reporting, equipment upkeep, refits, docking, maintenance planning and obsolescence management.Explain stores and materiel management processes, including demands, provisioning, scaling, stock holding, indenting, receipt, issue, survey and disposal.Engage with naval users and stakeholders to understand operational requirements, challenges and expected outcomes.Translate complex naval workflows into clear, structured and logical functional requirements.Document business rules, process flows, functional specifications, reports and operational procedures.Explain naval terminology, forms, ledgers, schedules, codes and procedures to team members without a naval background.Review proposed workflows, screen designs,



reports and system logic before development.Ensure that proposed solutions comply with Indian Navy procedures, standards and operational practices.Conduct structured research and analysis on naval operations, engineering processes and materiel workflows.Prepare clear reports, presentations and briefing material for technical and non-technical stakeholders.Develop test scenarios and test cases based on actual shipboard and shore-based working practices.Participate in functional testing, validation and User Acceptance Testing.Verify the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data transferred from legacy systems.Support demonstrations, pilot deployments, implementation and rollout activities.Coordinate with ships, dockyards, depots, maintenance authorities and command headquarters.Prepare user manuals, standard operating procedures, process guides and training material.Conduct user training and provide functional support after implementation.Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements aligned with naval best practices.Act as the primary domain point of contact for project delivery, enhancements and issue resolution.Handle sensitive operational and materiel information with discretion, integrity and confidentiality. Essential Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum 15 years of service in the Indian Navy.Rank of Chief Petty Officer or above, including equivalent senior sailor or commissioned officer ranks.Minimum six years of sea service onboard Indian Naval ships.Service background in an Electrical, Weapons Electrical, Radio-Electrical, Power and Control, Marine Engineering or allied engineering branch or trade.Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related technical discipline.Strong working knowledge of Indian Navy maintenance, engineering, stores and inventory management procedures.Thorough understanding of shipboard and shore-based operational workflows, terminology and organisational structures.Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis,



functional documentation or business analysis.Ability to convert complex naval procedures into clear requirements and logical process steps.Working knowledge of digital systems, data workflows, databases, reporting tools and web-based environments.Recognised qualification or formal training in information technology, systems, computing or a related discipline.Proficiency in preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations and structured documentation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to coordinate effectively with naval personnel, project teams and technical stakeholders.Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work on-site in Delhi and comply with all applicable security protocols. Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceExperience serving in a Ship Maintenance Authority, Naval Dockyard, Naval Store Depot, Command Materiel Organisation or similar establishment.Experience supporting the implementation, testing, administration or rollout of a defence technology system.Exposure to structured software development, project delivery or agile working practices.Experience preparing functional requirements, system requirements, process documents or operational specifications.Understanding of naval cataloguing, part numbering, equipment coding and configuration management.Knowledge of refit planning, dry docking, equipment lifecycle management and obsolescence management.Experience conducting user training and preparing manuals, procedures or operational guides.Experience with data analysis, management reporting, dashboards and advanced spreadsheet-based reporting.Familiarity with artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, decision-support systems and their potential use in government or defence environments.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Defence Studies, Computer Science, Management or a related discipline.Skills and AttributesStrong understanding of Indian Navy operations, terminology and organisational structures.Ability to break down complex processes into simple, logical and clearly documented steps.Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills.Clear and qualified written and verbal communication.Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.Structured research, analytical thinking and sound judgement.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work in mission-critical, regulated and high-security environments.Reliability, discretion, integrity and respect for confidentiality.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and delivery priorities.
