- Studies fashion forecast from WGSN, STYLESIGHT to understand upcoming trends.
- Prepares R&D; Design, Fabrics, Graphics and Cads (Checks & Prints), based on intense research & analysis.
- Analyzes the market trends / competition to understand current business scenarios wrt fashion opportunities for formulating the next season’s fashion forecasts.
- Develops concepts for coming season and based on it designs season wise collections for the brands and designs fabrics & trims.
- Ensures the tech-packs are prepared and discusses the same with designers, vendors & buyers during sampling process.
- Conceptualizes and develops mood boards, color palettes and current fits & silhouettes (Sketch Review)
that support the concepts and presents the same to buying & sourcing teams.
- Ensures that the designers work within the framework of the brand DNA.
- Continuously discusses with the buying team on option planning and critical path.
- Manages Studio to meet the design requirements (Ethnicwear category).
- Visits& gives approval to the vendor during sampling process in order to ensure product quality and specifications.
- Visits printer / embroidered agency so as to meet the sampling deadline & quality (Ethnicwear category).
