Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the complete manufacturing operations of Falcon Electric. This role oversees Production, Quality, Planning, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and overall operational coordination to ensure customer requirements are met with the highest standards of quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

The Operations Manager will drive operational excellence by implementing lean manufacturing practices, improving productivity, optimizing resource utilization, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

- Lead daily production operations to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, and production costs.
- Minimize downtime and manufacturing losses.
- Drive continuous process improvements to increase output and quality.
- Ensure adherence to work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

2. Quality Management

- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Promote a quality-first culture across all departments.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

3. Production Planning & Control

- Coordinate production planning according to customer demand and delivery schedules.
- Ensure material availability for uninterrupted production.
- Monitor production progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Improve production planning accuracy and inventory utilization.

4. Purchase & Supply Chain

- Oversee procurement of raw materials,



consumables, and production-related items.
- Ensure timely procurement while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, and pricing.
- Support vendor development and supplier performance improvement.

5. Store & Inventory Management

- Ensure accurate inventory records and stock control.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Reduce inventory losses and obsolete stock.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Conduct periodic inventory verification and reconciliation.

6. Maintenance Management

- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of all production equipment.
- Improve machine availability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Maintain maintenance records and schedules.

7. Team Leadership

- Lead department heads and supervisors across all operational functions.
- Build a high-performance and accountable work culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Identify training and development needs.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration.

8. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe working practices throughout the facility.
- Lead investigations into operational incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards (5S).

9. Customer & Business Coordination

- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service regarding delivery commitments.
- Participate in customer audits and management reviews.
- Support new product development and production readiness.
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction through operational excellence.

10. Continuous Improvement

- Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Drive Kaizen projects.
- Improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Optimize manufacturing costs.
- Standardize best practices across departments.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.

Experience

- 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple operational departments.
- Experience in wire harness manufacturing, switchgear, electrical assemblies, automotive components, or industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.
