We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Scrub Nurse to join our energetic cardiology team. The ideal candidate will work closely with interventional cardiologists to prepare for and assist during, critical diagnostic and surgical procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and pacemaker/ICD insertions. You will be responsible for maintaining absolute sterility, managing specialized equipment, and ensuring the highest standard of patient safety and care before, during, and after interventions.

Key Responsibilities

- Pre-Procedure: Verify patient consent, medical history, and pre-procedure checklists. Prepare the sterile field and set up specialized equipment, including catheters, guidewires, stents, balloons, and contrast media.
- Intra-Procedure: Scrub in and directly assist the cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Anticipate the needs of the physician by providing instruments promptly and maintaining strict aseptic technique.
- Monitoring & Support: Assist with monitoring vital signs,



hemodynamic data, and ECGs throughout the procedure. Prepare emergency drugs and equipment (e.g., defibrillators, crash carts) for immediate use if complications arise.
- Post-Procedure: Assist with hemostasis, applying pressure or closure devices to the catheter insertion site. Provide thorough discharge education and post-operative instructions to patients and their families.
- Equipment & Inventory: Manage and maintain cath lab supplies, perform equipment checks, and assist with instrument counts.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to hospital infection control, radiation safety, and biomedical waste management protocols.
