Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified, responsible, and customer-focused Pharmacist to join our team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, providing professional medication counselling, maintaining regulatory and organisational compliance, and supporting smooth day-to-day pharmacy operations.

The role requires a strong commitment to patient safety, ethical pharmacy practices, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications in accordance with applicable laws, professional standards, and organisational guidelines.
- Review prescriptions for appropriate dosage, strength, frequency, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and other potential medication-related concerns.
- Counsel customers and patients on the correct use, dosage, administration, storage, potential side effects, precautions, and adherence requirements of prescribed medications.
- Promote responsible medication use and educate customers on preventive healthcare, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, State Pharmacy Council requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Apollo Pharmacy policies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records related to prescriptions, billing, controlled medicines, inventory, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, support stock replenishment, track product expiries, and ensure appropriate storage and handling of medicines.




- Coordinate with prescribing physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and resolve medication-related queries when required.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service by handling enquiries and concerns professionally, courteously, and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and audit-ready pharmacy in accordance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in health awareness programmes, vaccination initiatives, health camps, and other community healthcare activities organised by Apollo Pharmacy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving pharmacy operational, compliance, and customer service objectives.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognised institution.
- Valid registration with the respective State Pharmacy Council.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 5 years of relevant experience are eligible to apply.

Preferred Experience

- Prior experience in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or an organised healthcare environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, billing software, inventory management systems, and digital healthcare platforms.
- Experience in customer counselling, medication management, and pharmacy operations will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing practices, and medication safety.
- Sound understanding of pharmacy regulations, professional ethics, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust customer-service orientation with a patient-first approach.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional accountability.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and pharmacy management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays, as required by business operations.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
