Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Spring Boot Developer with 1–3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, and software development best practices.

The developer will work closely with the Founders, product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members to build reliable, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Write clean, productive, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
- Implement application security, authentication, and authorization.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Write unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Support application deployments and production issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed modules and APIs.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Core Java,



including OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and multithreading.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
- Experience in developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with Git or another version-control system.
- Basic understanding of application security and Spring Security.
- Knowledge of JSON, HTTP methods, and API status codes.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodology.
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
- Exposure to Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Candidates with equivalent technical qualifications and relevant development experience may also be considered.
