Monthly Salary - 50,000 to 1,00,000

Domain - Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain is highly

preferred.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize the Jira

platform in support of enterprise project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong

expertise in Jira administration, workflow design, governance, reporting, and process

standardization, with hands-on experience supporting Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, PMOs, delivery teams, and

project managers to ensure Jira is effectively aligned with organizational processes and

governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Jira projects, schemes, configurations, and user access.

• Design, configure, and enhance Jira workflows, screens, issue types, field

configurations, permissions, notifications, and automation rules.

• Configure project templates, workflow templates, issue hierarchies, and reusable

project configurations to support standardized project onboarding.

• Manage custom fields, field contexts, screens, screen schemes, issue type schemes,

permission schemes, notification schemes, and workflow schemes.

• Configure and maintain dashboards, filters, reports, and executive-level project metrics.

• Develop advanced JQL queries to support project reporting, governance, audit

requirements, and operational insights.

• Create and maintain standardized dashboards for portfolio, program, project, sprint,

defect, RAID, and resource reporting.





• Support PMO governance by implementing project templates, mandatory fields,

validation rules, approval workflows, and project lifecycle controls.

• Configure Agile boards, Scrum boards, Kanban boards, backlog structures, swimlanes,

quick filters, and board permissions

• Manage workflow transitions, conditions, validators, post functions, and automation

rules to improve delivery efficiency.

• Support Jira integration activities with tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, Azure

DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and other enterprise applications where required.

• Troubleshoot Jira configuration issues, user access problems, workflow errors, and

system performance concerns.

• Perform periodic housekeeping activities including project archival, configuration

cleanup, permission reviews, and data quality checks.

• Maintain Jira administration documentation, configuration guides, governance

standards, and operating procedures.

• Provide end-user support, user training, and best practice guidance for project teams

and business users.

• Coordinate with Atlassian administrators, infrastructure teams, and vendor support for

platform upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on Jira Administration experience.





• Strong expertise in Jira Software administration and configuration.

• Hands-on experience configuring:

o Workflows

o Screens and Screen Schemes

o Issue Types and Issue Type Schemes

o Custom Fields

o Field Configuration Schemes

o Permission Schemes

o Notification Schemes

o Workflow Schemes

o Project Templates

o Automation Rules

• Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum and Kanban) methodologies.

• Expertise in advanced JQL (Jira Query Language).

• Experience creating executive dashboards, project reports, and governance metrics.

• Knowledge of Jira security, user management, groups, roles, and permission models.

• Experience supporting PMO governance frameworks and enterprise delivery processes.

• Positive understanding of SDLC, project lifecycle management, and release management.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication

skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Jira Data Center administration.

• Experience administering Confluence.

• Knowledge of Atlassian Marketplace applications such as ScriptRunner, Automation

for Jira, Structure, BigPicture, Xray, Tempo, or similar plugins.

• Experience supporting enterprise PMO transformations or digital transformation

programs.

• Exposure to ITSM, Change Management, Incident Management, or Service

Management workflows.

• Understanding of regulatory, compliance, audit, and governance requirements within

BFSI organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a

related discipline.

• Atlassian Jira Administration certification will be an added advantage.
