Role Description The Draft Beer Technician – Kolkata is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for supporting and maintaining Geist's draft beer systems for customers in Kolkata. The role involves installing and commissioning draft equipment, performing routine maintenance and cleaning of lines and taps, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure optimal beer quality and system performance. The technician will coordinate with sales and operations teams to schedule visits, document service activities, and uphold hygiene and safety standards at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include checking CO₂ and gas pressure, monitoring keg storage conditions, training staff at partner venues on best practices, and maintaining accurate records of equipment and spare parts. The role requires regular field work, physical handling of equipment, and a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

- Technical skills in draft beer system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with CO₂/gas systems, line cleaning, and basic mechanical repairs.





- Ability to work safely with tools and equipment, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to hygiene and food safety guidelines.

- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with venue staff, distributors, and internal teams.

- Valuable organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan routes, manage service schedules, and maintain detailed service records.

- Comfort with fieldwork, including travel to customer sites, physical handling of kegs and equipment, and working in cold storage or bar environments.

- Prior experience in draft beer operations, brewery operations, F&B; technical service, or a similar field-based technical role is an advantage.

- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and use of mobile apps; a valid driver's license is preferred.

- High school diploma or relevant vocational/technical training; additional certification in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical maintenance is beneficial.
