Role Description This is a full-time, in office Physiotherapist role based at Motherhood in Chennai. The Physiotherapist will assess patients physical conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for women and children across different life stages. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, delivering physiotherapy sessions, guiding patients through exercise programs, and monitoring progress to adjust care plans as needed. The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on rehabilitation, preventive care, and safe movement practices, while collaborating with obstetricians, gynaecologists,



paediatricians, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, holistic care. The Physiotherapist maintains accurate clinical documentation, adheres to hospital protocols, and supports quality and safety initiatives within the department.
Qualifications

- Clinical physiotherapy expertise, including assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
- Knowledge of women's health, obstetric and postnatal physiotherapy, and pediatric/ adolescent rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Strong patient-centered communication skills, with the ability to educate and counsel patients and caregivers in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to integrated care pathways.
- Good documentation, organizational, and time-management skills to handle a structured clinical workload.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution; valid professional registration/licensure as applicable.
- Previous experience in hospital-based physiotherapy or women & child health settings is an advantage.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to ethical and safety standards.
- This position is offered on an 8-month contract basis.
