Senior SAP Fiori Developer (S/4HANA & Clean Core)

Job Summary

We are seeking an expert Senior SAP Fiori Developer with over 8 years of experience to

lead the design and development of our modern UX landscape. You will drive front-end

innovation on SAP S/4HANA, strictly adhering to Clean Core principles. Your role involves

building high-performance applications using the SAP Fiori Flexible Programming Model,

developing custom extensions, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

UI Development & Architecture

 Lead frontend architecture design using SAPUI5, SAP Fiori elements, and modern

JavaScript (ES6+).

 Build scalable applications using the SAP Fiori Flexible Programming Model

(combining standard building blocks with custom UI5 controls).

 Optimize application performance, code reusability, and browser compatibility.

S/4HANA Extensions & Clean Core

 Develop upgrade-secure extensions using the SAP S/4HANA Cloud extensibility

framework.

 Ensure all developments comply with SAP Clean Core strategies, minimizing core

modifications.

 Utilize SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for side-by-side extensibility and

custom UI hosting.

Integration & Data Provisioning

 Integrate frontend applications with backend services via OData V2/V4 protocols.

 Collaborate with backend teams on ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model

(RAP) and Cloud Business Add-ins (BAdIs).

 Configure and extend SAP Fiori Launchpad spaces, pages, and dynamic tiles.

Leadership & Governance





 Conduct strict code reviews to maintain high quality and adherence to SAP best

practices.

 Mentor junior developers and define frontend development standards for the

organization.

 Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the Fiori UI and Gateway layers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

 SAP UX: Expert knowledge of SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and JavaScript.

 Frameworks: Hands-on experience with the Flexible Programming Model (FPM),

Controller Extensions, and Custom-Building Blocks.

 Backend Alignment: Strong understanding of OData (V2/V4), CDS Views, and the

ABAP RAP/CAP models.

 Tools: Proficiency in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), VS Code, Git, and

CI/CD pipelines.

 Environment: Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA (on-premise and cloud

editions) and SAP BTP.

Experience & Education

 Minimum 8 years of dedicated experience in SAP UI5/Fiori development.

 Proven track record of delivering at least 2 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementation or

upgrade projects.

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Soft Skills

 Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

 Ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive UI designs.
