About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst Executive to sit at the centre of how operations performs and
what it costs. From last-mile delivery and warehousing to fleet and vendor management, you will
build the reporting and analysis that tells us what is working, what is slipping, and where money
is leaking.
This is not a passive reporting role. You will own recurring dashboards, dig into performance
and cost deviations, and build the analysis that supports network, vendor, and process
decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Performance Analytics
- Own daily and weekly dashboards across delivery performance, TAT/SLA adherence,
cancellations, and warehouse throughput.
- Investigate deviations — late dispatches, failed tasks, out-of-stock incidents, vehicle
idling — and identify root causes.
- Track productivity and utilisation across manpower, fleet, and warehouse capacity.
Cost & Unit Economics
- Track cost per delivery, cost per trip, cost per item handled, and city-level cost-to-serve.
- Maintain month-on-month cost dashboards by city, cost head, and vendor with clear
variance commentary.
- Reconcile PO vs. GRN vs. invoice; audit vendor billing against rate cards and escalate
deviations.
- Identify cost leakages — idle capacity, empty return trips, excess deployment — and
size the savings.
Ops Strategy & Projects
- Build business cases for network and vendor decisions: in-house vs. 3PL, fleet mix,
warehouse footprint, route restructuring.
- Support demand and capacity planning with volume trends and forecasting inputs.
- Run what-if analysis before rollout and measure impact after; support pilots and process
improvement projects end to end.
Automation & Reporting Hygiene
- Automate recurring MIS using scripting or scheduled queries.
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, and similar) to speed up script writing, query building,
and data cleaning — with validation owned by you,
not the tool.
- Maintain metric definitions and data quality checks so numbers stay consistent across
teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with city ops, fleet, warehouse, procurement, and finance to align on definitions,
targets, and cut-offs.
- Present reviews to leadership in a decision-ready format — insight first, method second.
Must-Have Skills
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets — can build a reporting workbook or cost model from
scratch.
- SQL — joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs; comfortable with large
transactional tables.
- Analytical reasoning — can decompose a number into its drivers and explain what
actually moved.
- AI tools for analytics — uses ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to accelerate analysis, and
validates every output before it reaches a report.
- Business sense — connects a metric to the operational decision behind it.
- Ownership and detail — reconciles before publishing; treats an unexplained variance
as their problem to close.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Google Apps Script (or equivalent) for report automation and trigger-based workflows.
- MongoDB aggregation pipelines and Metabase or a similar query/dashboard layer.
- Exposure to procurement / P2P flows — PO, GRN, invoicing, cost heads.
- Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, supply chain, or rental/subscription
operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or a
related quantitative field.
- 0–3 years in data analytics, MIS, business analysis, or operations strategy.
- Freshers with robust SQL and spreadsheet skills are encouraged to apply.
Why Join Us
- Direct line of sight into how operational decisions get made; your analysis reaches
decision-makers the same week.
- Autonomy to build the reporting stack from first principles.
- Steep learning curve across supply chain, fleet, warehousing, procurement, and
commercial negotiation.
