About the job
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Associate to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the company. The role involves managing statutory compliance, accounting, vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, and statutory authorities to ensure accurate financial records and timely compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Process TDS payments, file TDS returns, and handle correction statements, as required.
Ensure timely payment and compliance of Professional Tax, Provident Fund, and other statutory dues.
Support statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
Maintain and reconcile Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Debtors, and Creditors ledgers.
Verify invoices, employee expense claims, and payment requests before processing.
Process vendor payments and ensure timely settlement of dues.
Coordinate with banks for routine banking transactions and documentation.
Record accounting transactions in Tally and maintain accurate financial records.
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare accruals, prepaid expenses, AMC provisions, and related accounting entries.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and monitor asset accounting.
Perform inter-company reconciliations and resolve outstanding differences.
Prepare periodic MIS reports and support management with financial information.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ensure timely GST payments.
Qualifications & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
24 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within the BFSI or Financial Services industry.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
Hands-on experience with Tally and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliations.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
