Senior Barista

Job Summary:

The Senior Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining excellent customer service standards, supervising junior baristas, and ensuring smooth day-to-day café operations. The role also includes inventory handling, maintaining cleanliness, training staff, and ensuring consistency in beverage preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages as per company standards.

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all beverages.

Supervise and guide junior baristas and café staff during shifts.

Train new staff on beverage preparation, hygiene, and customer service standards.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of coffee machines, counters, and workstations.

Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and café supplies.

Coordinate with management for inventory ordering and stock replenishment.

Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.





Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.

Maintain knowledge of menu items and suggest beverages to guests.

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Assist in achieving café sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Required Skills:

Robust knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machines.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Leadership and team-handling abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of café hygiene and safety standards.

Basic inventory and cash handling knowledge.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification in Barista Training is preferred.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Barista or Senior Barista in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setup.

Preferred Qualities:

Positive attitude and grooming standards.

Passion for coffee and hospitality.

Ability to multitask and manage pressure during peak hours.

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
