Job Summary:

The Design & Estimation Engineer will be responsible for developing engineering designs, preparing BOQs and cost estimates, analyzing technical requirements, and preparing techno-commercial proposals. The role requires coordination with clients, vendors, sales teams, and project execution teams to ensure accurate and commercially viable project proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare engineering designs, layouts, and drawings as per project requirements.

Develop 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or relevant design software.

Study client requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.

Prepare BOQs, BOMs, material take-offs, and detailed cost estimates.

Calculate material, labour, installation, and overall project costs.

Prepare quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and tender submissions.

Coordinate with sales, project, procurement, vendors, and clients.

Analyze vendor quotations and negotiate/coordinate for accurate costing.

Conduct site visits for measurements,



technical discussions, and project understanding when required.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and design modifications.

Maintain drawing revisions, estimation records, and project documentation.

Provide technical support during project execution and resolve design-related queries.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.

Experience in design, estimation, costing, tendering, or project engineering.

Strong hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit or relevant CAD software.

Good knowledge of BOQ, BOM, quantity take-off, and cost estimation.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Solid attention to detail and documentation skills.

Valuable communication and coordination skills.

Willingness to visit project sites when required.
