The Accountant cum Stores Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, invoicing, GST-related compliance, inventory records, stock monitoring, and ensuring accurate financial and store documentation. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel, and stay updated with current accounting rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and books of accounts.
- Generate sales invoices, e-invoices, delivery challans, and other accounting documents.
- Record purchase entries, sales entries, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Assist in GST compliance, return filing preparation, and related documentation.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents for audits.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and management when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation rules, and statutory regulations.
Stores & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records of raw materials, finished goods, and consumables.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock.
- Verify inward and outward material movements.
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, and purchase teams for inventory planning.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation related to inventory transactions and stores operations.
- Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Generate inventory and sales reports using Excel and Tally.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for management review.
- Support management with data analysis and operational reports.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Inventory Management, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis, reporting, etc.).
- Good understanding of GST, accounting principles, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of inventory and stores management practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Experience in a manufacturing or packaging industry will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- B.Com, M.Com, BBM, BBA, or equivalent qualification in Commerce/Finance.
- Additional certifications in Tally, GST, Accounting, or Finance will be preferred.
