About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive merchant acquisition for the PayNearby UPI Cash Point platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and onboarding retail merchants, ensuring successful activation, and building long-term merchant relationships while maintaining compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Merchant AcquisitionIdentify and acquire new retail merchants within the assigned territory.
- Promote and explain the benefits of the PayNearby UPI Cash Point solution.
- Educate merchants on business growth opportunities and earning potential.
- Achieve assigned merchant acquisition targets.
- Merchant Onboarding & ActivationComplete digital KYC and collect all required documents.
- Assist merchants with application installation and registration.
- Ensure successful merchant activation.
- Facilitate the first successful transaction after onboarding.
- Branding & VisibilityInstall approved branding materials at merchant locations.
- Ensure proper display of marketing collateral.
- Maintain brand visibility across assigned territories.




- ComplianceFollow all KYC and onboarding guidelines.
- Prevent duplicate or fraudulent merchant registrations.
- Capture GPS-tagged merchant photographs.
- Maintain accurate onboarding records and documentation.

Qualification

Graduate in any discipline.

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in Field Sales, Merchant Acquisition, Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or Assisted Banking.
- Merchant Acquisition experience is mandatory.

Preferred Industry BackgroundCandidates with experience in the following organizations will be preferred:

- Paytm (CSC)
- PhonePe (Premium Executive)
- Pine Labs
- MSwipe
- HDFC Corporate BC
- Airtel Payments Bank
- Spice Money
- Fino Payments Bank
- Required SkillsProven experience in merchant acquisition.
- Knowledge of digital onboarding and KYC documentation.
- Robust communication and negotiation skills.
- Territory management experience.
- Proficiency in the local language.
- Android smartphone and two-wheeler are mandatory.
