We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Transport Manager to oversee all transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely movement of goods, optimize transportation costs, coordinate with transporters, and maintain smooth dispatch and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage daily vehicle dispatches for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with transporters, truck operators, and warehouse teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Negotiate freight rates and develop relationships with transport vendors.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or transit issues.
- Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation, including e-way bills, LR copies, invoices, and PODs.
- Track transportation costs and prepare periodic MIS reports.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, turnaround time (TAT), and transporter performance.
- Handle freight claims, damaged shipments, and delivery discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams for seamless operations.
- Maintain transporter databases and evaluate new logistics partners.




- Implement systems to improve on-time deliveries and reduce logistics costs.
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of e-way bills, LR documentation, GST-related transport compliance, and freight billing.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MIS reporting).
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS/TMS software is preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches simultaneously.
- QualificationsBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, e-commerce, or FMCG industries is preferred.
