Experience 0–3 Years (Fresh Mechanical Engineers with internships in manufacturing are also encouraged to apply.)

- Qualification B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection and manufacturing processes
- NDT certification (Level II) is an added advantage

Job Summary The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all valves and components meet the required quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable international codes. The role involves assisting in incoming, in-process, and final inspections, maintaining quality documentation, coordinating inspections, and supporting continuous improvement activities.

- Key Responsibilities Incoming Inspection Inspect incoming castings, forgings, raw materials, and bought-out components.
- Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and maintain material traceability.
- Perform basic dimensional inspection using measuring instruments.
- In-Process InspectionConduct stage-wise inspections during machining, assembly, painting, and testing.
- Verify dimensions and workmanship as per approved drawings.
- Report quality deviations and assist in corrective actions.
- Final InspectionAssist in final visual and dimensional inspections.
- Witness hydrostatic, shell, seat leakage, pneumatic, and operational tests.
- Verify valve marking, painting, preservation, packing, and dispatch readiness.
- DocumentationPrepare and maintain:
- Inspection Reports
- Hydro Test Reports
- Dimensional Inspection Reports
- Material Traceability Records
- NDT Reports
- Quality Dossiers
- Customer & Third-Party InspectionSupport customer and third-party inspections.




- Assist in resolving inspection observations.
- Ensure all required quality documents are available during inspections.
- Quality SystemsFollow approved Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Maintain records in accordance with the company's Quality Management System.
- Support internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Continuous ImprovementAssist in root cause analysis of quality issues.
- Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Help reduce rejection and rework through process improvements.
- Required SkillsBasic understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Bore Gauges.
- Basic knowledge of industrial valve manufacturing is preferred.
- Awareness of API, ASME, and ISO standards is an added advantage.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Preferred KnowledgeIndustrial valves such as Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, and Butterfly Valves.
- Hydrostatic and seat leakage testing.
- Material traceability and quality documentation.
- Basic knowledge of NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, RT).
