The Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacist in daily store operations, ensuring smooth dispensing, customer service, inventory management, and compliance with pharmacy regulations. The role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in a polite and professional manner

- Guide customers to appropriate products (OTC medicines, wellness items)

- Handle billing and cash transactions accurately

- Address customer queries and escalate complex issues to the pharmacist

2. Dispensing Support

- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions

- Ensure correct labeling, packing, and handing over of medicines

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information

3. Inventory Management

- Receive and check stock deliveries against invoices

- Arrange medicines and products as per FIFO/FEFO standards

- Monitor stock levels and inform the in-charge about shortages

- Remove expired or damaged products from shelves

4. Store Maintenance

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy

- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines





- Follow visual merchandising and display standards

5. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain records of sales, stock, and invoices

- Follow company policies and statutory regulations

- Support audit activities and ensure documentation accuracy

Required Qualifications:

- Intermediate / Diploma / Degree (preferably in Pharmacy)

- Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of retail/pharmacy experience

Skills & Competencies:

- Basic knowledge of medicines and healthcare products

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Basic computer knowledge (billing software, MS Office)

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work in shifts and handle customer pressure

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in retail pharmacy or healthcare industry

- Knowledge of local language(s) and English
