Role Overview-
The Design and Development Engineer will bridge the gap between conceptual design and full-scale manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing functional, cost-effective, and highly effective fluid processing equipment. Working closely with cross-functional teams and clients, you will oversee the entire design lifecycle, ensuring our mechanical components and processing vessels meet strict industry standards and exact project specifications.
Key Responsibilities-
- Product Design & Modeling: Conceptualize and design fluid processing equipment, valves, and processing vessels. Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform rigorous engineering calculations to determine structural integrity, optimal vessel dimensions, and accurate component weights (including precise load considerations for configurations with or without mechanical assemblies like agitators).
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct stress, flow, and performance simulations to validate design specifications. Iterate on designs based on diagnostic solutions and test results.
- Manufacturing Integration: Collaborate with the production team to ensure that design intent is maintained during fabrication,
troubleshooting any mechanical or assembly issues that arise on the floor.
- Client Coordination: Partner with clients to evaluate specific plant requirements (e.g., capacity, pipeline routing) and translate those needs into innovative, customized engineering solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including the Bill of Materials (BOM), quality assurance protocols, and equipment manuals.
Qualifications & Requirements-
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Proven background in design engineering, specifically within industrial process engineering, pumps, fluid handling systems, or heavy mechanical component design.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD), 3D modeling, and creating production-ready technical drawings.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection (particularly for sanitary and industrial fluid handling), and mechanical assemblies.
- Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage project timelines effectively from blueprint to final production.
