ABOUT GENERAL MILLS General Mills makes food the world loves with more than 100 brands across six continents including Cheerios Pillsbury Betty Crocker Nature Valley and Haagen-Dazs With over 155 years of heritage General Mills continues to innovate while staying true to its purpose of being a force for good The General Mills India Center GIC in Mumbai serves as a global capability center delivering business value service excellence and growth across Supply Chain Digital Technology Innovation Quality Consumer Market Intelligence Sales Strategy Finance HR and Shared Services With 1 800 professionals GIC plays a critical role in enabling global transformation The Digital Technology D T organization leads enterprise-wide digital transformation through AI ML Data Engineering Cloud Automation Cybersecurity SAP S 4HANA and Enterprise Architecture The team operates in agile pods under the MillsWorks model fostering innovation collaboration inclusion and a Work with Heart culture JOB OVERVIEW Function Overview The Enterprise Data Development team designs and architects solutions to integrate transform and deliver enterprise data using contemporary cloud technologies primarily GCP The team enables a unified enterprise data layer by integrating internal and external data sources supporting advanced analytics and actionable insights This role partners closely with business analytics and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions that combine process technology and business information to power General Mills corporate information factory KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Design develop code and support scalable data pipelines and data models on cloud platforms GCP preferred Build and support enterprise data warehouses and associated batch real-time and streaming data jobs Partner with business analysts architects and stakeholders to deliver business-driven data initiatives Lead or contribute to small-to-medium projects and support large enterprise data programs Actively mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building Troubleshoot technical data quality and performance issues across the data ecosystem Participate in evaluation implementation and rollout of emerging big data and cloud technologies Promote automation CI CD and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and streamline processes Proactively research new tools frameworks and techniques in data engineering Navigate ambiguity and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively Contribute reusable assets and best practices to the broader General Mills data community MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5-12 years of experience in ETL Data Engineering with at least 2 years in cloud-based data platforms Experience acting as a technical or project lead on global initiatives Strong ability to coach mentor and guide development teams Proven track record of delivery accuracy attention to detail and deadline management Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills Self-motivated team player capable of overcoming complex challenges TECHNICAL SKILLS Expert Level GCP Storage Data Modeling Real-Time Processing BigQuery SQL Composer Airflow Cloud Functions Data Warehousing Concepts Cloud Storage S3 Blob equivalent Intermediate Level Python Kafka Pub Sub Basic Level dbt PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS GCP Data Engineer Certification or equivalent GCP certifications Experience or understanding of the CPG FMCG industry
